Job Description:

A leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States has immediate openings for a Fleet Mechanic to support operations at the Manassas plant in Virginia. This position is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a fleet maintenance vehicle and will assist as needed within the Ready Mix network throughout the Virginia area.Responsibilities

• Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, and propane powered engines such as automobiles and trucks
• Inspect, adjust, and replace necessary units and parts including cooling, fuel, and exhaust components
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles, including lubrication and oil changes
• Repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems; tune engines using standard testing equipment
• Inspect, adjust, and replace necessary units and related parts including valves, hoses, belts, and alternators
• May fabricate and modify parts and equipment
• Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and body repairs
• Keep an accurate log of all work performedRequirements

  • Driver LicenseSalary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
