The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is actively seeking a
dynamic and dedicated Education Program Manager to join the team!
The MRF's education team is committed to supporting the melanoma
community through active engagement, creating tailored educational
experiences, and fostering community through support resources. The
Education Program Manager will play a crucial role in advancing
these goals by implementing a robust education, outreach, and
support initiative for the rarer subtypes of melanoma.NOTE: The

and skills required of personnel so classified.JOB SUMMARY:This
role involves connecting with and facilitating the creation and
growth of patient and caregiver communities, serving as a valuable
resource for community members, and engaging with a diverse range
of stakeholders. The Manager will collaborate with departmental
leads to develop tailored materials, resources, and programs that
address the community's needs. Additionally, the manager will guide
patients and caregivers through appropriate channels within the
organization.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development and implementation of outreach and
engagement strategies for each melanoma subtype group.
- Create and update patient-centric educational content for
emails, newsletters, web, social media, etc.
- Develop and coordinate annual awareness and prevention
campaigns in conjunction with the Communications team.
- Manage patient steering committees to advise, support, and
bolster community engagement.
- Plan and execute the content development and facilitation of
symposia, monthly webinars, and educational materials.
- Work with department leads to incorporate rare subtype patients
into programming and events.
- Moderate patient forums and support groups.
- Triage and direct patients and caregivers to resources.
- Track all patient engagement in the Foundation's CRM.
- Educate internal staff on rare subtypes needs.
- Develop and expand professional relationships with external
organizations, healthcare providers, researchers, nurses, and
social workers.
- Participate in and support fundraising campaigns to support the
rare subtype community.
- Attend patient events and conferences.
- Act as a frontline contact for patients and
caregivers.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 3+ years of programmatic, patient experience.
- Team-player with a positive attitude who is able to effectively
work with multiple constituents.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and confidential.
- Able to travel up to 10%.
- Position is based in Washington, DC office with a hybrid
model.EDUCATION:
- Masters Degree/Social Work Degree or similar desired.OTHER
