SummaryGW Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Clinical Supervisor - Emergency Department to lead and support the
nursing team in our fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department.
The Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership, oversight, and
clinical expertise, ensuring that patient care standards are
maintained while fostering a collaborative and efficient working
environment. -Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision for emergency
department nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality
care in accordance with established protocols and best
practices.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to
meet the fluctuating demands of the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with the ED management team to ensure compliance
with regulatory standards and hospital policies, while promoting a
culture of safety and quality.
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff,
providing guidance and support in complex and high-acuity
cases.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement
initiatives, and emergency preparedness efforts to enhance patient
care and department efficiency.
- Lead and support the implementation of evidence-based
practices, policies, and procedures aimed at improving patient
outcomes and staff performance.

accountability among the ED team, promoting professional

Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Washington, D.C., or be DC
eligible.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree
in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in an emergency or
critical care setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a high-acuity,
fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills,
with the ability to manage a diverse team in a high-pressure
setting.
- Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and promote
