Lummi Nation Job Center:Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT)Close Date: 07/31/2024 (Until Filled Not Entered)Department: Lummi Counseling ServicesDuration: Regular Full-TimeJob SummaryThe Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) will attend and participate in the education and training required to become a licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee Certification in the state of Washington. The trainee will follow an individual training plan that will include all the required hours needed to complete SUDPT education under an assigned licensed SUDP supervisor.The SUDPT will provide services in a Level 1 Outpatient/Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient setting. Functions performed by the SUDPT include:

• Screening for eligibility
• Intake to programs
• Orientation to program goals and rules
• Client assessments
• Group counseling
• Crisis intervention
• Client education
• Referrals
• Report and record keeping
• Consultation with other professionals regarding client treatment services
• ADISThe SUDPT will work closely with the courts, Drug Court participants, and Whatcom County Jail for clients needing inpatient treatment.
