Comprehensive Stroke Center. - -POSITION SUMMARY -Under the
direction of the Department Director/Manager, the US Supervisor
accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and
organizing and monitoring work processes. Maintains staff by
recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and
developing personal growth opportunities. Provides quality service
by enforcing quality and customer service standards. Completes
operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work,
gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving
operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and
implementing new procedures. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and
work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the
patients and employees is required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS -High School Graduate or equivalent
required.Diploma from certified school of Radiology
required.Minimum 5 years of experience as a US Technologist
required.Two (2) years of experience as a Sonographer Supervisor
and acute care experience preferred.Current RDMS license
required.Breast and Vascular registry preferred.Current Basic Life
Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association
(AHA) required. - -SKILLSCommunicationAbility to read, analyze, and
interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements -
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
from managers, clients, customers, and the general
public.Mathematical -Basic to Intermediate Skills: - Ability to
add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Ability to compute
rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to calculate figures and percentages.Reasoning Intermediate
to High Skills: - Ability to apply common sense understanding to
carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Other Skills and
AbilitiesDemonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The
Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.Demonstrates
compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all
times.Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication
and interpersonal skills.Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical
personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well
with the public.Must have working knowledge of computers and basic
management applications.
