• Access to user-pays Qantas Points and Status Credits programAbout the role:The Fixed Plant Maintenance team is currently seeking a Superintendent Shutdown to join them on a 4/3 days only roster (with the flexibility to do extended swings 3 times a year to provide shut leadership during the major shutdowns) based at Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the planning and execution of outages of the Process Plant - Fixed Plant facilities.Duties:
  • Ensure the planning and scheduling of all shutdown maintenance work in accordance with the Roy Hill work management processes, in particular ensuring collaboration with the superintendents for Maintenance, Production & Infrastructure in order to agree on optimum Planned Shutdown Maintenance Schedules (PMS).
  • Monitor and report against the shutdown maintenance planning work schedules and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to stakeholders, direct reports, and peers.
  • Responsible for asset management, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration, and general site administration related to shutdowns.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for shutdown activities and assist the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance with the creation of overall department budgets.Skills and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or similar technical field or an appropriate trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience.
    • Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license.
    • Extensive Fixed Plant Maintenance supervisory and leadership experience including Shut management and Execution.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written with the ability to pass on concepts to effectively coach, train and develop team members, peers, and business managers.Mine Site Facilities:
